General information about the villas

Sheets and towels: Villa rent includes bed lines and towels. (Not changed during the stay.)

Cleaning: There is no intermediate cleaning in the villa during the stay.

Drinking water: You can drink the tap water. It is fresh and clean.

Firewood: If you need more firewood, you can find it near the tennis court (cottages 1 – 6 and Tuuletar, Ilmatar and Aallotar) or at the Isohaapa main building (cottages 8, 10, 11 and 12).

Rubbish: There are black and green waste baskets near your cottage. You can put your glass bottles next to these bins.

Room Service: For house cleaning service, please contact us. This can be done for an extra charge.

Shopping facilities: You will find the nearest shops in Vääksy which is about 10 – 15 minutes by car.

Using the boat: After lending the boat, please take it back to where you took it and tie it up carefully. The boat is on your responsibility. For more information, read our extra sheet “security advices”.

Hot tubs: If you want to use the hot tub, please inform us early enough so that we can make all the arrangements for you.

Sauna: You can use your private sauna whenever you want!

Safety: The speed limit on the cottage road is 30 km/h. Be careful with the ice and snow what falling from the roofs of the villas in winter. For this reason, avoid parking cars under the roof eaves. We don’t have a maintenance at night time. In winter, watch out for slippery roads and footpaths. Always check the ice thickness of the lake at the reception before going there.

Swimming in winter: Next to the main-bulding Isohaapa is hole in the ice where customers can go swimming in winter.

Please remember on the day of departure

Check-out

  • Check-out is from Monday to Saturday at 12:00 pm, and on Sundays at 18:00 pm

Cleanliness

  • Please leave your villa and surroundings clean and if you have moved furnitures, please return them on right places.
  • Kitchen especially has to been cleaned, empty fridge and wash dishes. BBQ-area and BBQ has to be clean as well, but remember not to put ash in trash bins. Villa has to be in good general condition.
  • Please take your trash to trash cans. Don’t leave trashes on terrace, because animals might spread them. Trash cans are located near your villa.

Final cleaning is done as follows:

  • Wipe visible stains from surfaces
  • Wash the dishes by machine or by hand, if the villa does not have a dishwasher
  • Take the sorted garbage to the waste shed (energy and mixed waste). The collection containers for other waste (bio, cardboard packaging, recycled paper, glass and metal) are in the waste shelter next to the main building in Isohaapa
  • You can leave return bottles and cans in a separate plastic bag on the terrace of the villa or take them with you
  • Clean the grill if it has been used
    please note that the ashes must not be taken to waste bins

Hot Tub

  • If Hot Tub has been in use, remember to close the lid. Hot Tub shouldn’t be emptied and don’t switch it off. There is more info at the end of this video.

Rented equipmet

  • Please remember to return rented equipments e.g. fishing gear, tennis rackets or outboard motors.

Rowing boat

  • Rowing boat has to be on the shore and tightly tied. Take of the plug and leave it on the seat, please clean the boat.

Return your key

  • Please return your key to the reception, or to the box next to reception door.

When leaving your villa

  • Please, remember to lock all the doors even doors on terrace! In winter time remember to close ventilation windows. Villa has to be locked!

Kitchen

There is no need to rinse dishes before putting them into dishwasher. You can scrap off leftover food with paper towel. Always wash full loads and use a right program, e.g. a short program is enough for coffee cups.

Don’t leave oven and hotplates on too hot temperature.

Don’t keep range hood on for no reason, warm air will go out through it.

Use the pre- and post-heat of the oven. Many dishes can be put in cold oven and remember that you can leave food to make up in post-heat as well.

Electronic devices like water kettle, coffee maker, microwave and toaster are ecological and usually a faster option for oven.

User manual for sauna heater:

Every sauna heater are little bit different. Below you can see photos and info for every heaters.

Heater 1: 

Numbers on the black background mean how many hours sauna heater is on for. Numbers on the light background are for timer.

It takes an hour for the sauna to heat up. We recommend to turn  thermometer to almost maximum.

Heater 2:

Numbers on the white background mean how many hours sauna heater is on for. Numbers on the black background are for timer.

It takes an hour for the sauna to heat up. We recommend to turn  thermometer to almost maximum.

Heater 3:

Turn the timer on three o’clock, the the sauna heater will be on for three hours.

Heater 4:

White numbers mean how many hours sauna heater is on for. Red numbers are for timer.

It takes an hour for the sauna to heat up. We recommend to turn  thermometer to almost maximum.

Heater 5:

Numbers on the red background mean how many hours sauna heater is on for. Numbers on the black background are for timer.

It takes an hour for the sauna to heat up. We recommend to turn  thermometer to almost maximum.

Heater 6:

Use the main switch to turn sauna heater on.

Use temperature regulator to choose desired temperature. We recommend 80 degrees.

Choose heater on time by pressing the clock-button. Every press is for 30 minutes, we recommend 4 hours.

Water damage 

In case of water damage follow these instructions:

  • Check where the main valve is.
  • Close the main valve to minimize the water damage.
  • Turn the electricity off.
  • Remember to report our janitor about the water damage. You must call to the reception and inform our staff.
  • In case of emergency to humans call the emergency number 112.

Power cut

Power cuts usually be deriver from national failure and the power will be recover by 15-20 minutes. The development of regional power cuts can be followed at the address https://katkokartta.elenia.fi/kartta/

In case of power cut follow these instructions:

  • Check where the switchboard is
  • Check the cause of the power failure
  • Inform other people about the power cut
  • Remember to be extremely careful with candles if you are using them. If you need more lights example candles please call to reception  (tel. 03 7666 330)
  • If power cut been continued more than one hour we recommend to use fireplace, if your villas have one
  • Please don’t open outdoor often, when the power cut is on
  • If power cut endure long time pleacse don’t use toilets or showers. ¨From the hunting lodge you will find two latrine for your use. Also electrical heating are off for use
  • If you notice that part of the electronics is missing, the fuse is probably blown. Then please take contact to reception
  • Charging of electric cars is possible only in places intended for them. Instructions for charging electric cars can be found behind to own QR code.

Energy saving tips

Electronics and lights

  • Switch off power from electronic devices after using them (even stand-by). Please keep in mind that in some devices switching off annuls memory settings.
  • When your mobile phone is fully charged please take your charger off from the power outlet.
  • Please switch off the lights when leaving room for a longer period than 10 minutes.

Laundry and washing

  • Wash full loads and spin-dry your laundry.
  • Please avoid running hot water unnecessarily and close the tap when soaping yourself.
  • Use a mug for teeth brushing.
